Grab some coffee and get ready to scroll, y'all. The Varn baby shower was a Charleston event photographer's dream, and I simply could not narrow down which images to share with you today.

Ty and Larry are eagerly awaiting their baby girl, and they celebrated her imminent arrival with an absolutely fabulous brunch affair at Charleston's gorgeous Hotel Emeline in the historic district.

Before I even get into how sweet of a day this was, can we TAKE a moment for that incredible flower wall created by Firefly Weddings & Events? This showstopper was the perfect spring backdrop for all their posed photos - but wait, there's more! The Varns also decked out the patio at Hotel Emeline with a life-sized marquee surrounded by pink balloons.

The Varns gathered with their friends and family for an elegant brunch and some hilarious baby shower games, such as changing a doll diaper blindfolded and a blind taste test of baby food. (Now, I've never personally tried baby food, but there is something wrong if it can simultaneously taste like apples and peas. Just saying.)

The smiles, the laughter, and the exquisite attention to detail when it came to the party details all made this a dream job for a Charleston event photographer, but I couldn't help coming back to how much love and warmth surrounds this little girl we haven't even met yet. There is an entire village of people waiting to embrace her, shower her with affection, and celebrate her uniqueness. What a powerful thing, and may we all know such love.
