Charleston Event Photography: Charleston Stage Director's Circle for Footloose
I have a confession: I’ve actually never seen the movie Footloose. I do love some 1980s movies and Kevin Bacon, don’t get me wrong, but somehow it’s never quite made it to the top of the Netflix list.
So when I saw that Charleston Stage was doing Footloose this fall, I thought it would be so fun to encounter Footloose as live theater first!
I’ve been shooting the Charleston Stage Director’s Circle events for quite a while now, and I love to stay for the shows when the stars align for me to do so. (And who doesn’t want to watch a show in the Historic Dock Street Theater? The architecture is to die for.)
If you get the chance, I strongly recommend ducking in to see Charleston Stage’s Footloose between now and September 22. You will absolutely love it! The cast is phenomenal and so fun to watch, they will reel you in and have you laughing and toe-tapping throughout the show. Marybeth Clark directed Charleston Stage’s Footloose and Sam Henson provided musical direction. The choreography was by Cara Dolan.
I’d also like to encourage you to consider supporting Charleston Stage by joining the Director’s Circle, the exclusive opening night society. Members get two tickets to the opening night of the performance, which always takes place after the lovely pre-show cocktail receptions with passed hors d'oeuvres in the Dock Street Theatre's beautifully restored Grand Foyer, Drawing Room and Courtyard. As you can tell from the photos, it’s a wonderful way to support the arts and enjoy this gorgeous city we live in.
