Charleston Event Photography: Lowcountry Oyster Roast

I hope everyone had an amazing holiday weekend surrounded by loved ones!

I've got family on the brain as we approach the Christmas season, so today I'm sharing some of my favorite images from work as a Charleston event photographer covering a family oyster roast!

'Tis the season for oysters in the Lowcountry, and this day on the Charleston harbor was one for the books. The weather was incredible, the venue offered gorgeous views of the sunset, and the freshly roasted oysters were an unforgettable treat.

Ooh! Events did an excellent job on the decor, as always, and Juniper & Jasmine transformed the space with showstopping, elegant floral arrangements that framed the entrance, adorned the tables, and swept up the staircase.

The family and their guests enjoyed a waterfront cocktail hour before partaking in shrimp and grits, a delectable selection of passed appetizers, and a taco bar before the oyster tables opened. After everyone ate their fill of Charleston's most beloved seafood, partygoers hit the dancefloor for an evening of revelry.

I hope this sweet family will cherish these images and their memories of this magical evening for years to come! It was such a pleasure to serve as their Charleston event photographer, and I look forward to all the festive shoots on the calendar this time of year.
