Charleston Event Photography: Beresford Hall Assembly Photos with Santa
Santa Claus is coming to town... and yesterday, he made his annual stop at the Beresford Hall Assembly Christmas party!
This is one of the most fun annual jobs I have, as a Charleston event photographer. I basically get to be a kid again and live vicariously through these littles as they experience the magic of Christmas! (And I won't lie, I always enjoy the outtakes of the kids' faces who aren't feeling the whole Santa thing yet! They are so funny.)
Neighborhood events also have a special place in my heart because the neighborhood where I grew up in Jacksonville, Florida has such a strong sense of community. My own parents have been hosting a neighborhood Easter egg hunt in San Marco for a whopping 37 years now! (This is where I get my crazy love of holidays; I come by it honestly!)
Each year, the social committee at Beresford Hall Assembly works hard to throw a darling Christmas party for the neighborhood kids. Not only are there crafts and holiday-themed games, but Santa himself also drops by! After posing for pictures and surprising kids with treats, the man in red gathered up all of this year's letters to Santa and jetted away on his special golf cart.
I love that this community comes together for neighborhood events; my own memories of similar events are some of my most cherished childhood experiences, and I'm so happy to be a part of that tradition!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
