Grit & Grace Studio 8th Anniversary Party

As a Charleston event photographer, it's especially rewarding to stay with a client on their journey through the years.

I first met Rachel Gordon, the founder of Grit & Grace Studio, back in the day when we were both working Charleston Fashion Week. She was an up-and-coming designer with a gorgeous line called One Love, and I was photographing for a behind-the-scenes blog for a local publication.

Rachel went on to start Grit & Grace Studio, a boutique coastal gift company committed to restoring our shores, a whopping eight years ago, and I did some of her initial branding photography at the time!

Fast forward to today, and Grit & Grace Studio has grown and transformed into a beautiful retail space and haven for young artists, and the company remains committed to recycling oyster shells and giving back to the community.

To celebrate their eighth anniversary, Grit & Grace Studio hosted an evening of live music, libations, pop-up shopping, and tasty treats. It was a pleasure to share in this lovely event, both as a photographer and someone who has been along for the ride since pretty much the beginning.

While my primary goal was to capture candids and posed images of the event to memorize the occasion, my secondary goal for the evening was to create branding imagery to support the Grit & Grace Studio marketing team. Those photos focused on new employee headshots, pretty product shots, and customer engagement imagery.
