Charleston Event Photography: Beresford Hall Easter Egg Hunt
I love Easter. Every year for more than 35 years, my parents have personally hosted an Easter egg hunt for the neighborhood in the city park directly in front of our house in Jacksonville, where my godfather historically hopped around in a full body bunny costume in the warm Florida weather - bless him. When I was a child, I lived for the hunt alongside the other neighborhood kids. Now as an adult, I live to hide the eggs. It is seriously so much fun! (I might also stash some in places that only I can find later in the day, is that terrible? Don’t judge me. It’s only if I can tell they don’t have Jelly Beans in them.)
So when the social committee at beautiful Mount Pleasant housing development Beresford Hall contacted me about being the event photographer for this year’s Easter egg hunt, I was obviously all in. What a fun way to share in what’s always been a favorite tradition of mine!
The families in this community are the absolute sweetest - you may remember our shoot with Santa Claus earlier this year! - and the kids loved the Easter egg hunt and posing with the Easter bunny, who managed to make time to drop by the event! The kids tugged on his ears, gave him high fives, and even shared their candy.
After reaching an optimum sugar high, the kids enjoyed a plethora of lawn games that ranged from crab leg races and three legged races to hula hooping and relays. It was a gorgeous morning in the spring sunshine, a perfect day to bring both family and community together.
Thank you again to the creative and hardworking social committee at Beresford Hall Assembly for having me back for yet another holiday!
