Charleston Branding Photography: Park Circle Creamery

Does anything compare to a giant cone of homemade ice cream on a hot summer night? 

There’s something about a waffle cone of cookie dough ice cream, in particular, that takes me straight back to those long Florida nights of my childhood. There was an ice cream shop within walking distance from my parents’ home, and it was a highlight of growing up in our neighborhood. 

When Park Circle Creamery contacted me about doing some Charleston branding photography to kick off their journey in their brand new space on East Montague Avenue, they specifically mentioned being a family-friendly neighborhood ice cream shop. It brought up so many fun memories, and I’m thrilled to have created a bank of branding imagery to celebrate their new digs. 

Park Circle Creamery was looking for light, bright, colorful images of their ice cream that are both delicious and approachable. As a Charleston branding photographer, it’s so helpful to have guidance and work with a company with strong brand identity as we headed into the styling - my favorite part! 

The thing to know about Park Circle Creamery is that their ice cream is so delicious, they regularly sell out. That made the focus of our shoot more creative than knocking out a literal list of menu items, and it was a blast.

I’m so happy with this shoot, and by far, the best part was connecting with Maurice and Tyler. Last year was a doozy for all small business owners, and it’s been really inspiring to see how my fellow entrepreneurs have hustled, pivoted, and found a way to thrive in the face of challenges. 

Congrats to Maurice and Park Circle Creamery on their new location! Life is sweet (Get it? Because ice cream?), and I have a feeling the best is still yet to come, y’all.
