Charleston Family Portrait: Baby Maya
I first met Arda when I was working on a really fun set of headshots for Floor Plan Visuals- all the subjects brought their pets and his black and white kitty Miss Alice was an absolute queen. Very regal, that cat. Fast forward to this summer and Arda is now a proud new papa to a sweet baby girl named Maya!
I was thrilled to book a mini-session with baby Maya, her gorgeous mom Nicole, and Arda at their lovely home in downtown Charleston and this sweet baby girl was an absolute rock star in front of the camera. Not only was Maya in the happiest of moods, she was fascinated by the camera and made direct eye contact with me for pretty much the entire photo shoot! (Also, how cute is her outfit?)
Of course, if you scroll on down you’ll see a cameo with Miss Alice but she let her new little sister steal the spotlight on this one.
On a more personal note, it makes me so happy to see more and more people and families investing in their memories. I just love these photos and I can’t help being a little jealous. I do wish that photography had been more accessible when I was growing up and my parents had photos like this in our home with us girls but it’s such a pleasure to capture these moments for others. Trust me, even if your toddlers hate it now, they’ll be so grateful for these photos later on in life!
