Charleston Event Photography: Clink Different

Fridays are for sipping a glass of wine with your loved ones, am I right?! So since it is finally the end of what’s felt like a looooong week, I thought I’d share one of my favorite days as an event photographer in Charleston this past fall: a gorgeous pop-up wine tasting event at swanky Spring Street establishment Joséphine Wine Bar

Clink Different: Experience the Wines of Europe was a lovely afternoon and evening of wine tasting and learning. The pop-up was divided into two separate sessions. The first part of the day was open only to industry insiders, where they were able to take their time swirling, sniffing, sipping, and asking questions about the various wines being featured. Then in the evening, Josephine opened its doors to the public and offered them the same experience.

The concept of the event was to ask attendees to leave behind their preconceived notions of what a Reisling, Bordeaux, or rosé are and experience the richness and variety of European winemaking.

The wine flowed, the bites were delicious, and the space was comfortably packed with happy oenophiles. The selections offered were all surprising, delightful, and unusual in their own right. I got to taste a couple at the end of the event, and it changed my perception of a Riesling.

This lovely pop-up wine tasting event was hosted at Joséphine Wine Bar by the Bordeaux Wine Council and Wines of Germany and featured bites from  Executive Chef Shaun Conolly and Chef Jason Alley. For more information on Clink Different events, please visit their website here.
