Charleston Family Mini-Session: The Martellos
This warmer weather - read, almost beach weather?! - has me thinking about one of my favorite Charleston family mini-sessions a few months ago, the Martellos!
Unrelated note: I am still embarrassingly behind on blogging about shoots from this past year; it was the most beautiful whirlwind, so please bear with me!
When they reached out to me, it was clear this was more than just an annual Christmas card shoot: these would be their first professional images taken of sweet baby Brady!
I felt so honored to be chosen and trusted with a project like this. The Martellos will look back on these photos for a lifetime.
Brady was all smiles, chubby cheeks, and deep belly laughs during his first family session, sand gnats and all! He also absolutely slayed it in his tiny bow tie and suspenders, and I almost feel like Brady had been practicing for the occasion. Have you ever seen such a perfect little supermodel? He also clearly adores both his mama and daddy.
Since this was obviously a special occasion, Alicia picked an equally significant location: the spot where she and Matt got engaged! All the beaches in Charleston are gorgeous, but it's so much more meaningful when you come back to the location where one of your major life events took place.
There were so many beautiful candid (and posed) moments during our golden hour session, and it was such a pleasure to work with this sweet family.
A huge thank you to the Martello family for trusting me to tell their story during such a sweet, special time in their journey.
