Charleston Event Photography: Monkey Shoulder Disco Nap

I love being a Charleston event photographer, but too often, I reach the end of the year and realize I never got around to sharing my favorite photos!

With all the hustle and bustle of running a small business, it can be easy to tell myself I'll get around to sharing the photos next week, next month, or on my next rainy day. But suddenly, I look back and realize two years have gone by.

So, in this moment of calm before my family Christmas gets fully underway, I'm sharing one of the best parties I photographed this year: Monkey Shoulder's Disco Nap.

Let me guess: you're probably rereading that and asking, "A disco nap?" Monkey Shoulder Whisky celebrated a 70s-themed "disco nap" extravaganza at Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle of Palms, complete with a lightbox dance floor, disco balls everywhere (even in the drinks), and bright orange lounges.

Oh, and did I mention that guests received a set of Monkey Shoulder pajamas, a sleep mask, and a fluffy bathrobe to wear to the party?! Everyone partied on until the wee hours (and by that, I mean 1 AM!), but there were Monkey Shoulder espresso martinis, two signature cocktails, and tasty snacks to fuel the party.

And, what sets Monkey Shoulder Whisky apart from other whiskies is that it is made by one of the oldest whisky-making Scottish families in the world, William Grant & Sons. They designed Monkey Shoulder specifically for mixing exceptional cocktails, so you know those drinks were top-notch.
