Charleston Family Portrait: The Alversons

I met the Alversons last year during a Christmas-themed group mini-session, and their baby girl Vivien just stole my heart. She was enthralled by the Christmas ornaments, and girl, I can relate. (Anyone else barely holding back from decorating for Christmas? I never decorate until after Thanksgiving but this year the struggle is REAL. We have an inflatable turkey up in the front yard right now, but his days are numbered.)

So when Elisa reached out to me about another Charleston family portrait, I was looking forward to seeing how much Vivien had grown and changed over the last year. Spoiler alert: not only is this little one a full toddler now, she’s about to be a big sister!

Rob and Elisa are expecting twins, and I’m so happy for them! I have no idea how Elisa makes carrying twins look both graceful and glamorous; the woman is an inspiration.

We all met downtown for some family portraits, but of course, I had to sneak some maternity photos in of this radiant mama-to-be. Isn’t she gorgeous? And sweet Vivien was so patient throughout our session, she was a photographer’s dream. (My joke with kids under the age of 5 is that it’s not actually a family session until at least one person cries.)

Congrats again to the Alverson family! I can’t wait to meet your newest family members; what a blessing this year.

As a reminder, we’re now dividing time between Charleston and the Asheville area! If you’d rather do your family portraits in Lake Lure or Hendersonville, hit me up! We’re back and forth on the regular, so let’s compare calendars.
